Meet the Flamingo Scaps Design Team!!!!!

Flamingo Scraps is so pleased and proud to announce our new Design Team!!!  We have 9 new fresh faces and two continuing designers who have new fresh titles & duties!!!  So, without further ado, the November 2012-April 2012 Flamingo Scraps Design Team!!!!!

Tonya Gibbs - Lead Educator

Tonya is also known as Psychomom - for all the right reasons!  A Florida Native, she hails from Keystone Heights; she is married and has two children, who, along with her neices and nephews are the frequent subjects of her scrapping.  Innovative techniques and inspired details are the hallmark of Tonya's style.  She has been designing for Flamingo Scraps for two years and has recently begun broadcasting live Ustream shows sponsored by Flamingo Scraps.

Cindy deRosier - Flamingo 4 Coordinator

Cindy deRosier is from California and is married with a little boy.  Cindy has also been designing for Flamingo Scraps for two years; she has a clean sleek style that shows off her beautiful photos.  Cindy has the amazing ability to make everything an adventure, perfect for coordinating the Flamingo Four.  We are excited to be bringing back the popular challenge under Cindy's guidance.

Kathleen Natale - Design Team Coordinator
Kathleen Natale is new to the Design Team, but not to Flamingo Scraps!  She is a native of Palatka, FL and lives just up the road from Suzanne.  Kathleen is a wife, mother, avid fur-parent, and Gammy to the light of her life, her 5-year-old grandson!  Though she will be technically in the background coordinating the Design Team, we know her lively personality and beautiful crafting style will shine through.

DESIGN TEAM

Abigail Stoops
Abigail started scrapbooking a little over a year ago and was only gonna do her wedding album. Eighteen months and dozens of projects later, she admits she is ADDICTED!!!   She says, "Art has always been important to me. I need a creative release. I think that shows in my career choices and my hobbies. I love looking at photos and I love taking photos. And, life moves fast. We have to document it. Scrapbooking makes all that come together for me."
 Alicia Flick
Alicia Flick has recently gotten back into scrapbooking, after a five year hiatus.  Even though she wasn't scrapbooking, she was still taking pictures all of the time, so has an endless supply of pictures to scrap! :)   Alicia is mainly a multi-picture scrapper who loves to tell a story along with creating the art.  Of her style, she says, "I am more of a simplistic scrapper than is the norm these days. I love to see all of the clustering of embellishments and the beautiful things that other can do with their talents, but it's just not me. Trying to be something I wasn't took the fun out of scrapbooking, and I really think led to me stepping away for a little while. I think there are a lot of people like me out there."

Erin Reed

Erin Reed is a stay at home mom (my children give me wonderful pictures to scrap with), a former high school science teacher, and she loves to scrapbook!!  Her first love is family - they mean everything - her second love is crafting, especially scrapbooking.  Erin started scrapping in 2006 when her oldest child was 10 months old.  But she really fell in love with the craft when it became her emotional release during a painful time in her life.  Erin says, "I feel that I even dream of page layouts and techniques in my sleep, and when I wake up I can’t wait to try them out!! I find that scrapping is the best therapy out there!!"

Melissa Williams

Melissa Williams is a mother of 2 boys living in Michigan. She is an all-around crafty-type person, and loves, REALLY loves, color.  She is especially drawn to primaries, turquoise, and pink. She puts all of this into her designs and loves to try new things, so her style is always evolving.  Melissa really likes using techniques on her pages - from sewing to painting to inking and grunging it up.  Melissa says,  "My designs are fairly uncomplicated - I try not to put too much on a page so that the focus still rests with my photos, yet I try to add small touches to give my pages interest. But, that's pretty much what I try to be: uncomplicated, bold, and dynamic."

Ramona Downing

Ramona Downing loves scrapbooking and mixed media!!  She loves making old memories new, from pictures of her family’s heritage to new pictures taken.  Right now, she is into Mini Books and altered items and  loves using Prima and Graphic 45.   Ramona is always up for new crafting adventures at retreats and classes.  Ramona says, "I love watching new papercrafting tutorials  on Youtube and Ustream.  I want to share with Flamingo's friends and customers what I have learned by watching YouTube and Ustream."
Last, but certainly not least is Annmarie Colbert from Lumberton, NC!!  Annmarie is in the middle of FEMA training -- so we will show you a picture and information very soon!!!!!

Welcome to all these FABULOUS ladies!!!  Flamingo Scraps is so fortunate to have attracted this incredible group of talented and FUN paper crafters!!!!  I have a feeling the next 6 months are going to be a wild ride!!!!!
