Good and bad news. This is my last post with Flamingo Scraps. I will truly miss working with Suzanne and the DT at Flamingo Scraps. Suzanne is really a very kind person! And, I really love scrapbooking. I have needed a creative release, an artsy outlet. I think that when you can do something you love you are a happier person.
I have been an amateur photographer for a while and really enjoy it. But, recently I made a decision to actively pursue that as a career. Check out my new website here to see my portfolio. As excited as I am for this new beginning, I am also saddened by the fact that this new venture will take up time that I formerly devoted to my scrapbooking.
For my last post with Flamingo Scraps I decided to use pictures from my first client photo session with December Boulevarde Photography. This little guy was super fun to photograph! I used a 12x12 paper from the Heidi Swapp Serendipty collection. I also the used the Echo Park Beautiful Life collection elements.
I used a layer method to create a page within a page because I wanted to use more than one photo. Check out the super-cute wood-grain arrow sticker and the sentiment stickers from the Echo Park Beautiful Life collection.
I usually try to get a few classic shots in and then I get in a super creative one just for me to play around with. This one was super fun with the sun-flare edit! I think this angle makes him look tough, like a big-boy, all grown up!
Since this was a "boy" layout I wanted to take advantage of the Beautiful Life wooden arrow sticker and I played it up even more with these Studio Calico wooden stars, a Studio Calico wooden tab...
...and this Studio Calico wooden circle frame. I put it around the camera sticker from the Echo Park Beautiful Life collection.
I included this sticker because this is how my photography makes me feel. I used the doily paper from the Echo Park Secret Crush collection and fussy cut this one out for this element cluster.
More Echo Park Beautiful Life stickers.
Again, I took advantage of the wooden elements to play up the "boy" theme of this page. I really like how the Echo Park Beautiful Life collection has three, THREE different alphas! I used the wood-grain ones for his name.
Thank you for looking and admiring. I will miss all the Flamingo Scraps readers!
