Hi all Flock followers... Ramona here to share a few projects I have been working on for my Flamingo Scraps DT project. I have used the Carta Bella and Lilly Bee Design papers that we had back in July. Which now might be found in the Warehouse Boxes for sale at the store. I had so much fun creating all these projects that would be great to put in stockings or on plates for your dinner guest. The patterns that I have used are some from Treasure Box Designs and Silhouette Store and cut on my Cameo. The patterns for the Mad Hatter ornaments can be found here. I used much of the paper that I had gotten between these and the Christmas book that I made. This paper is just so awesome not to waste one inch of it. Hope you like my projects as much as I loved making them.
I used Webster’s Pages Bloomers Red Sparkle. I also used a metal technique on the small one that I learned from Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 2.
Who would not love this little mug full of Hot Chocolate on Christmas Morning?? I used a Prima Wood icon on the snowflake.
A little tea light on your Christmas Tree??
A present that contains a gift card. I used the new Platium Stickles on this and Love it.
Another Hot Chocolate Stocking Stuffer I so love this one with the snowman soup poem as in the above Coffee cup poem.
Hope you like my creations!!
Tim Holtz Distress Paints
Prima Chalk Ink Edgers — Set of 40 Original Colors
Seam Binding – Black
Seam Binding – Red
Remember Christmas is coming soon so grab you a Warehouse Box before they are gone. They have been marked down even lower then before.

Fun To Make & Fun To Get Christmas Tags
Hello All!
I am back today with four different tags for our Christmas in July fun!
Up first, is a fun tag that I made using the patterned paper from the Traditional Red and Green kit, a piece of transparency and a couple of punches. I started out by cutting the patterned paper and transparency into a tag shape. Next, I punched out 15 green triangles and one gold star from some gold vellum that I had in my scrap pile, and glued them into a tree shape onto the transparency tag. I cut a "trunk" for my tree from a scrap of textured brown card stock, and then added a few rhinestones that I cut apart from a Prima embellishment to act as ornaments for my tree. To finish this tag, i just layered the transparency on top of the patterned paper and secured them together with a bit of flashy ribbon.
Next up, I cut a base of solid colored card stock and rounded the corners. Then I stamped a lacy design and heat embossed with holographic embossing powder to give the background a little more interest.I added this great Santa card stock sticker mounted on red card stock and adhered it with Pop Dots.
For this tag/card, I decided to make it more card-like, but instead of folding it in half, I folded it a little off of half and placed a strip of the green dot paper where it could be seen when the card was closed. I thought this gave it a little more interest. The sentiment on the front is a great chipboard element that comes in the pack in the kit.
Until next time!

Lastly, I made this quick tag using some basic red card stock, another piece of the scrap gold vellum, my Martha Stewart Stars Anywhere punch, and some more of those adorable card stock stickers that come in the kit.
I hope these have inspired you a bit to make a few tags for those special gifts for the upcoming holiday season!! Also, if you are interested in the Melissa Francis Floral Frog that I have used to hold the tags up for pictures, Suzanne has those available as well in the store! Until next time!

Amanda's Favorites from 2011!!
It's been a while since I've posted here, but I can't resist talking about all the goodies I loved last year and currently hoard have in my scraproom!
Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1934
No secret here, I loved this collection! I made this card, this layout, this layout, this layout, this layout and this layout. In fact, I have nothing but a pile of scraps left!! :)
Lily Bee's This and That
I'm hoarding this one. Haven't touched it yet but LOVE it!! :)
Cosmo Cricket's Salt Air
Another paper collection I haven't yet cut into. Yep, my name is Amanda and I am a patterned paper hoarder lover! :)
Crate Paper Toy Box Collection
Now that we've established I have a paper addiction, it should come as no surprise that this is another favorite I have yet to cut into....
I have some great photos of my nephew I want to use this paper for.... now to just find some time!!
Prima Flocked Rub-Ons
I picked something other than paper! Shocking, right?! I love these -- and the name is a little misleading - they are almost felt like, but super thin. So gorgeous!
And yes, for the record, I am in fact hoarding hanging onto these too! :) And now, thanks to the Flamingo Scraps' girls, I'm itching to get back into my scraproom to make some stuff to clear some room for even more fabulous goodies coming up in the next few weeks!!

Suzanne's Favorites from 2011!!!
I will think of 2011 as the year I realized some truths about my papercrafting!!!! And I think it is all due to some of the fabulous products that came out last year!!
I realized I have a strong tendency toward graphic collections -- I always assumed I was a shabby chic crafter, but now I think of myself more as vintage graphic!!! I fell MADLY in love with Fancy Pants' It's the Little Things and Lily Bee's This and That!
I remembered that I love words. Though I am not a consistent journaler, I have always loved using words as accents on pages. I also remembered that I CAN stamp and love to heat emboss thanks to these FABULOUS Art Journaling Stamps from Maya Road!!!!
I love bright, vivid colors!! I simply fell head over heels for the colors in Webster's Pages Sunday Picnic!! Having this as a fave is kinda cheating as it came out at the tail end of the year. I am just enchanted by the Perfect Accents and truthfully, I'm afraid this might be one of those things that is too beautiful to use! Look for other styles of these to be in the store -- one set even has a FLAMINGO CAMEO!!!!
And lastly, my "why didn't I think of that" new product -- Cosmo Cricket's Glubers (which simply flew out the store and were impossible to find). Another item that made me remember I love to make my own embellishments and the results are not too shabby...well, they are kinda shabby, but not in a bad way...OH!!! You know what I mean!!!!
We will be reporting next on our favorites from the new releases at CHA Winter 2012 and let you know what we will be carrying!! Check out the PREORDERS of Tim Holtz now available at Flamingo Scraps. In addition, the Maya Road Art Journaling Stamps and the Webster's Pages Perfect Accents are on sale through Thursday!!
Now back to deciding what to order!!!! If you see steam rising from the direction of the Sunshine State -- it is my brain on sensory overload -- in a good way!!!!

Great Friends Think Alike!!!
From the time Teresa moved to Crescent City in the fifth grade until high school graduation, we were practically inseparable! We lived only blocks apart and did just about everything together! As we grew older, college, family moves, marriages, children, etc. kept us from keeping in touch as we would have liked. But through the miracles of Facebook and a class reunion last August, we reconnected and found that that bond we had forged all those years ago was still strong!! We even found out that we were both scrapbookers!
Teresa and her hubby came through Palatka in May, a few days before my birthday for a wonderful, but all too brief visit on their way to a cruise vacay. I had made a layout for her -- entitled Besties!
Inspired by a Becky Fleck Page Map sketch, the layout had pictures of us together at our High School Graduation and at Homecoming our senior year, along with a picture of us taken in the Flamingo Scraps storeroom last August!
Lo and Behold!!! Teresa handed me a birthday gift and said, "you are not going to believe this!" I opened it and tears came to my eyes!!!!
There we were -- the same picture from August and a picture of us when we were cheerleaders together our senior year!!! She had even used some supplies she had gotten at Flamingo Scraps!!!!!
The This and That sticker on my layout reads "good friends are like stars, you don't always see them, but you know they're always there." The journaling on Teresa's LO reads "a touchstone for my soul, a bridge across time, beautiful friend of my heart, I'm so grateful for you, days fly, months become years, and through them all, your friendship is with me."
I am blessed!!!

HUGS!!!!
Happy Friday!!!!! Today, I want to share a little (literally!) something I made for my Mom! When I was younger, especially when attending an all girls college in South Carolina, I thought hugs were a peculiarly Southern thing. But now I know there is a hug revolution sweeping the country!
Hugs are really important to my Mom -- she sends cyber hugs over the phone, and if there has been a hug card made, she has found it and sent it to me and my brothers! I wanted to send one back, but being a self respecting paper crafter, I just couldn't buy a card, so I made this tag!
I reached really way back in time to these Sizzix paper doll dies I have had forever and used a combination of Fancy Pants' It's the Little Things and Lily Bee's This and That paper collections!
Hugs to all of y'all and thanks for looking!

Guest DT Jeana O'Laughlin-Pigott: Mother's Day Cards
Luckily for me, May is a quite eventful month craft-wise! There has been something almost every weekend! There's Mother's day, my step-mom's birthday, and my dad and step-mom's anniversary! Today I would like to share some of the Mother's Day cards I did this year. I know a LOT of mom's, between all my aunts, friends, and women who played a big role in me becoming who I am as a mother today, I usually have quite a few to give out!
These were made with the Lily Bee Design Vintage Poppy paper collection, which you can find at Flamingo Scraps for an INCREDIBLE price!! I was surprised, it usually can take me up to 2 hours to make one card but my mojo was working for me the day I made these and ended up creating 6 cards in about 2 hours! What fun!
As you can see these are fairly simple cards, but the paper is soooo pretty I had a really hard time covering it up! I know they also aren't typical Mother's day cards, but sometimes I like to switch things up and highlight a favorite part of someone's qualities rather than the traditional sentiments :)

Guest Blogger Heather: Lily Bee Audrey
A few months ago I searched high and low for a snow themed paper collection that would match the photos of my son playing in his jacket. The problem with that was that most of the snow themed papers were pink and purple! They wouldn't work at all. So I started looking for individual papers that would work, and I came across the Lily Bee Audrey paper line in the Flamingo Scraps shop. The bright yellow and navy blue couldn't have been more perfect. I also ordered the coordinating navy and yellow e-line flowers.
Here is the first layout that I created with the collection:
It came together quickly and easily! To add an extra frosty feel to the layout, I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the top of the white foam Thickers. As you can see, even though the papers could be considered girlie and the patterns to floral for a Winter/Boy layout... it totally works!
The second layout is one of me. I just happened to notice while pulling the photos for the previous layout that the burgundy paper exactly matched my fence in the photos. I ended up scrapping a photo of me in the snow. I live in Southern Louisiana, so snow is a BIG deal!
As you can see, I repeated the Stickles on the title again. It worked well on top of the white velvet alphabet stickers. I added Stickles to the snowflakes and pearl bling to the centers.
My entire point behind this post is to remind you not to get stuck in a rut using themed papers! If the colors work, go for it! You may just end up with an even more lovely end product. You can check out the Audrey papers in the Flamingo Scraps store here.
We thank Heather for sharing even more of her fantastic work with us!! To view more of her layouts and read about her adventures of three adorable kiddos, check out her blog!

As Promised....Chipboard Technique
I don't know about you, but having been in the craft mindset for a number of years, the diversity of supplies is often overwhelming. I have so many bits and pieces left over from all types of crafts. Here I put my old puff paints to work.
This is a simple technique that involves only a few items. Chipboard, puff paint, UTEE and a heat gun. Here I used Maya Road's Deborah font.
This is a simple technique that involves only a few items. Chipboard, puff paint, UTEE and a heat gun. Here I used Maya Road's Deborah font.
Begin by painting a thick layer of puff paint onto the chipboard. I find it best to spread the puff paint with a brush rather than the applicator tip, as using the tip tends to clog the bottle.
After completely covering the chipboard with paint, sprinkle on your UTEE. And now.....wait! and wait, and wait. I usually do this first so as to give the paint plenty of time to dry. You want the paint to be dry when you go to heat set the embossing powder.
After heat setting, you are ready to go. Such a pretty, textured feel to the chipboard.
I hope you enjoy this technique. I find it very handy, not just with naked chipboard, but you can also use it to alter chipboard letters you already own, but maybe don't just love. And, you are only limited by the colors of paint and embossing powders you own.
Now, if I can only find something to do with the hundreds of pony beads. lol

We Love Boys and a Contest Winner!
First off, let me say congrats to our latest contest winner, Heather Landry. Heather worked long and hard and managed to figure out which Flamingo Scraps products I had used on my layouts. So, congrats Heather! You will be receiving your prize package from Flamingo Scraps shortly. Oh, and I promise...the next contest will be much easier.
Sometimes I get so busy, loving on all the pink and flowers that I forget to post the layouts I do of my wonderful teenage son. In my desire to share with you all the gorgeous products we have for girls, I neglect to show you what you can do with many of the same items...but for boys.
With the big sale starting tomorrow, I thought I would share a few of these layouts with you.
Last summer, my son broke his arm. Right at the end of swim season. Needless to say, he was not too happy. I used the Lilybee Audrey papers for this layout. The colors are just gorgeous. I did a fun technique using puff paint and Utee on the Deborah chipboard. Tons of fun! Tutorial to come on Thursday.

I know you have seen me do lots of layouts using the Rebellious line from Prima Marketing with my daughters. But it is also great for boys. The fun skulls and crossbones, the graffiti patterns, and checks make it perfect for all teens and tweens.
Products Used, Prima Marketing Rebellious papers, Pink Paislee Glitter Alphabet
And finally some more Lilybee, this time in Vintage Poppy. Yes, these pages also feature one of my daughters. But, not really girlie (at least in my opinion).
Products used, Lilybee Vintage Poppy papers. Prima Say it in Crystals and Studs. Prima Eline flowers.
I hope you find these layouts inspirational. And remember, that even with Flamingo Scraps being a fabulous place to find all those gorgeous, vintage, shabby things for girl pages...you can also find many wonderful things for boys. (and On Sale. hee hee)
Hugs.
