Maya Road Glittered Mini Christmas Trees

Christmas crafting items are starting to appear in the stores en masse, and we papercrafters know to shop early to get the best selection!!  I found these white bottle trees in sets of two (about 3 1/2" and 5") at our local dollar store.  Cute as they are -- they can always be better and I thought of the new Maya Road Ultrafine Glitter we just got in at Flamingo Scraps!

I painted glue on the ends of the branches -- I used Martha Stewart Glittering Glue
and a regular paintbrush, but any white glue should do as well.

The next step was sprinkling on the glitter --
I used a glittering/embossing tray to catch the extra glitter and
to make it easier to return the unused glitter to the container!
Spraying the trees with a clear floral sealer will help adhere the glitter

These little trees are still fragile, as glittered objects are wont to be,
but with care they should last for years to come!
It is time to check out your local stores for Christmas crafting finds.  Don't leave the dollar store off your list of places to visit!  And don't leave Flamingo Scraps off your list of places to find just the right embellishments to dress up your finds!!
