Altered Take Out Box

I'm always on the hunt for cute ways to dress up gifts.  This is no exception!
I saw a cheap take out box on clearance after Easter for $0.23 and couldn't resist!

Not so pretty, right?!  So I recovered it in Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage by unfolding the box:

And tracing the outline of the sides onto tracing paper, then cutting my tracing paper template out:

And using it as a guide to cut my patterned paper.

It took one sheet of patterned paper to cover the box, plus a small scrap of a second piece to cover the bottom.

I finished the box by adding a Bayberry Cottage die cut, a Prima say it in crystals & pearls bling swirl and adding a Prima Alabaster Alissa flower misted with Maya Mist in Cotton Candy Metallic:

From Flamingo Scraps:  pink paislee bayberry cottage patterned paper and queen bee patterned paper (bottom), pink paislee bayberry cottage die cuts, Prima Alabaster Alissa flower, Cotton Candy Metallic Maya Mist and a Prima say it in crystals bling swirl
Other supplies:  one cheapy take out box in the clearance bin!

I paired it with my Mom card I shared a while back and it was the perfect Mother's Day gift!

My Mom loved it!  I'm on the hunt for altered art inspiration.  So do you have any suggestions?  Anything you've altered recently and wanna share?!  Please let me know!
