Beautiful Inspiration

Sometimes you are inspired by an event. Sometimes you are inspired by a moment. This LO was inspired by a photo. It was a nice warm-ish November night and some good friends invited us out to their country home for some leftover fireworks. Always fun! This time, as a good scrapbooker should, I brought my camera. This pic overwhelmed me. It looked like, not fireworks, but God's creation. It looked as though I was gazing at the night sky full of stars. Too beautiful for words.

This photo in my LO is not edited at all. I love everything about it. It touched me and made me think of stargazing, another fun hobby of mine. I wanted to make a page to capture those emotions that I was feeling at that moment. The base paper is Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic Dotty. I also used the Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic Bookkeeping paper and some Teresa Collins Now and Then paper with the beautiful fireflies and Chevron patterns. The tag envelope is Heidi Swapp I made from Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic Beautiful paper. The embellishments are from the Teresa Collins Now and Then Collection.

Hexagons are my new fav shape of 2012! I hand cut this one from some of the leftover Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic Bookkeeping paper. But, look underneath. There is a fun little piece of black thread, some Gesso over a piece of textured fabric and some fun iridescent glitter I sprinkled on the Gesso before it dried. I love all the texture the fabric and the Gesso adds!

I was so moved and touched by this pic, I had no choice but to think of deeper things. Meditation (not the Yoga/New age type, but the pondering of deeper meanings type) is helpful to me to keep focused on my priorities. This pretty chipboard frame is from the Teresa Collins Now and Then collection.

I couldn't help but compare this photo to stargazing, which I love to do!

These adorable little word stickers are Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic Sentiment stickers. I think that we should all strive for seeing beauty everywhere, especially in unexpected places. This is truly how I aspire to live.

Some deeper thoughts as hidden journaling in the pocket on my LO. I hand cut this tag out of some of the leftover Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic Bookkeeping paper

The flip side...

Don't you just love this Teresa Collins washi tape?!?! I love adding washi tape under chipboard borders. It gives the LO more dimension and texture.
I really had fun making this layout. Don't forget you can pick up your own Heidi Swapp Just Dots and Bookkeeping papers and Vintage Chic Sentiment stickers at the Flamingo Scraps newly redesigned website! They also just added the Teresa Collins Now and Then collection packs, chipboard elements and washi tapes. They are to die for! I can't wait to create more projects with this collection!
